Like so many elements in Nkanga's work, the carpet on the floor depicts the mineral mica. It is placed centrally in the room and occupies a central place in her work as well. Here, people can come together and will also be invited to gather during the performances.

Nkanga designed the carpet and it was made by an industrial carpet maker.
